Call for Papers for the Heritage Conservation Symposium in Ottawa on April 23, 2016

If you are interested in discussing unrepresented or underrepresented identities or voices in heritage conservation, perhaps you may be interested in submitting to the call for papers for the 11th Annual Heritage Conservation Symposium held in Ottawa each year!

This year’s theme is, ‘Not My Heritage: New Identities/ Voices in Conservation’.

Possible Themes Include:

Indigenous Peoples & Heritage Conservation
Gender and Sexuality & Heritage Conservation
Immigration/Diaspora & Heritage Conservation
Youth/Pop Culture & Heritage Conservation
Social Class & Heritage Conservation

Not My Heritage will be held on April 23, 2016. We encourage submissions from graduate students and heritage professionals working across disciplines.

Please submit a 250-300 word abstract along with the working title, contact information and short bio (150 words) by January 15, 2016. Final papers should be no more than 2,000 words for a maximum 20-minute presentation.
